A new way to experience product data

Manufacturers are under increasing pressure to make decisions faster while ensuring every stakeholder has access to the information they need. Yet product information often remains fragmented across systems, teams, and processes.

Today, PTC is excited to announce the availability of the SceneLink Beta Program, a new capability that takes governed product data in Windchill and integrates the advanced visualization and simulation capabilities of NVIDIA Omniverse libraries. SceneLink is designed to help organizations explore immersive, collaborative product experiences while preserving the configuration and lifecycle context managed by PLM.

Bringing the digital thread to life

SceneLink helps bring the digital thread to life by making Windchill-managed engineering data available in an immersive, simulation-ready 3D environment. Windchill remains the authoritative source for product structure, configurations, versions, access controls, and lifecycle history, and with NVIDIA Omniverse libraries integrated enable teams to visualize, collaborate around, and simulate that product information directly in Windchill.

Using OpenUSD as an interoperability layer, SceneLink can help teams create simulation-ready visual experiences from trusted product data. With SceneLink, organizations can:

  • Visualize complex products and configurations in an immersive 3D environment
  • Support cross-functional reviews across engineering, manufacturing, and service
  • Reduce time spent interpreting complex assemblies and product structures
  • Evaluate products in collaborative and simulation-ready workflows
  • Maintain digital continuity by using traceable, version-controlled product information instead of disconnected visualization copies

By connecting trusted product data to simulation workflows, PTC is helping lay the groundwork for larger-scale industrial digital twins. For example, its work on CAD-to-SimReady workflows supporting NVIDIA DSX Sim aims to help AI factory builders evaluate infrastructure configurations and power and cooling decisions before equipment is installed. Customer feedback will help PTC shape how SceneLink supports these evolving needs.

Why beta participation matters

The SceneLink Beta Program gives select customers and partners early access to the technology while helping shape its future direction. Beta participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore emerging SceneLink capabilities firsthand
  • Provide feedback on user experience and workflow integration
  • Evaluate how immersive visualization can support business processes
  • Collaborate directly with PTC product and technology teams
  • Influence future enhancements and capabilities

As with all beta programs, customer feedback will play a critical role in refining the product experience and ensuring SceneLink delivers meaningful value across a variety of use cases.

Building on our vision for digital transformation

SceneLink represents another step in PTC's commitment to connecting product data, people, and processes across the enterprise. By integrating NVIDIA Omniverse libraries with Windchill’s governed product data, SceneLink enables visualization, collaboration, and simulation workflows that help organizations move beyond static or disconnected representations and work from a more complete, trusted understanding of their products.

The result is a more connected approach to product development and lifecycle management: Windchill helps ensure teams are working with the correct product definition, while Omniverse libraries enable PTC to bring advanced 3D visualization into connected product workflows.

Get involved

The SceneLink Beta Program is now available to qualified participants. Organizations interested in evaluating the technology and contributing feedback are encouraged to contact their PTC representative for additional information.

Together with customers and partners, PTC is exploring how trusted Windchill product data and NVIDIA Omniverse libraries can enable the next generation of immersive, collaborative, and simulation-ready product experiences.
